Island of the Gods Bali has become one of the goals set titled International Film Eat, Pray, Love starring Julia Robert and Brad Pitt. The exciting news is of course welcomed by the people of Bali for their area is still believed to be a safe and comfortable for all parties, including for the international film shoot Eat, Pray, Love.

Julia Roberts, Oscar-winning role in 2001 when Erin Brokovich, has been filming in Indonesia. Exactly in Bali. Eat, Pray, Love set out on the true story of a journalist Elizabeth Gilbert troubled woman searching for the meaning of life.

Entering the age of thirty years Gibert has got all the desires of a modern American woman. Besides a husband and a house, Gilbert ambitious and well educated have a brilliant career.

However, instead of happy, he just panicked, sad, and unsure approach to life. Gilbert felt the pain of divorce, depression, failure in love and lost her grip on her life.

To restore her, Gilbert took a pretty extreme step. He left the job and the people who loved to have an adventure around the world alone.

For an attractive-looking woman, traveling solo is certainly exciting adventure. Eat, prayer, and love is a record of events in the months that identity search.

In that adventure, Gilbert set a goal to three different places. In each country, she studied aspects of life with the cultural background of each.

Italy became the first destination. In this lovely, distant land, Gilbert learned the art of enjoying life and Italian. Do not forget, he also spit his appetite by eating a variety of Italian cuisine delicious. Naturally, then his body weight increased 12 pounds.

From Italy, Gilbert left for India. In this country he learned the art of devotion or surrender in a Hindu ashram, or hermitage. He spent four months to explore his spiritual side.

Finally, Bali becomes final destination. On the Island of the Gods This is a mature woman found her life purpose, namely a balanced life between earthly joy and inner peace.

He became a student an old shaman named Ketut Liyer who is also a painter and psychic reading through his lines. Gilbert was also friends with Nyoman, a traditional herbalist Bali.

And most importantly, in Bali, Gilbert had felt apathetic and will never again be romantically connected with any man, end up finding true love back in self-Felipe, middle-aged man from Brazil is much older than she is.

as filming done by Julia Robert eat, pray and love to the Bali island to shoot in other places like in Indonesia Java International Destination that can represent the overall portrait of this country. hopefully ..

If the President Barack Obama is not delayed in Indonesia, he might not only enjoying the beauty of Java, Barack Obama will visit Bali, two of the many islands in Indonesia that are known as the international tourism destination.

In Bali, Obama will visit 3-4 places. However, it is certainly that Obama and his entourage, will visit Jimbaran, Uluwatu, and will be staying at one of the major hotels in Nusa Dua, Bali.

Nusa Dua Bali is known as an international enclave of 5-star resorts in south-eastern Bali. It is located 40 kilometres from Denpasar, the capital city of Bali, and administered by South KutaDistrict. Nusa Dua means the second island.

In the northern of Nusa Dua enclave, there is Tanjung Benoa peninsula that includes less exclusive hotels and Benoa village. A multi-denominational area, it includes a mosque, and Chinese and Hindu temples in close proximity to each other.

In a press release issued by the White House some time ago, Obama mentioned Indonesia as the fourth largest country, the third largest democracy, and the largest Muslim country in the world. This was confirmed Indonesia as the leader in Southeast Asia in any sense. It also confirms that Indonesian’s geostrategic is very important.

Obama is scheduled launching a comprehensive cooperation Indonesia-the U.S. with President Yudhoyono. The cooperation is intended to expand and strengthen Indonesia relationship with the U.S. in addressing regional and global issues. Indonesia and the U.S. want a more comprehensive relationship in the field of energy, environment, health, science, investments, and explore to increase trading from both countries.

Uluwatu temple is located on a high cliff over the ocean on Bali’s south-western tip. Besides the fantastic view from the temple, especially the sunset, the temple is known as monkeys’ gang and perhaps, appropriate to its Kecak dance performance.

The temple itself opens only for Hindus. You can visit the rest of the complex every day. The Kecak dance is held every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evening starting when it is sunset (6 to 7 pm). With the temple and sunset as the background, this is the best place in Bali to watch the Kecak dance.

Ulu Watu area, especially the beaches located on northern of the temple, are also world-renowned for surfing. Suluban Beach is the place for surfing in Bali, even though we must hike down a narrow gorge on the cliffs firstly. Uluwatu, which is located on the southern tip of Bali and led to Indian Ocean, is a wonderful tourism object.

The most interesting thing to see here is a temple standing firmly on the reef that is jutted into the sea with height about 50 meters. In the late afternoon, you can watch Balinese dance performance which is famous in foreign countries, Kecak dance, by enjoying the beautiful sunset.

Taman Sari Royal Water Park in Yogyakarta is a spectacular place to visit and a must-see on your itinerary when visiting the beautiful city. Located only a ten minute walk south-west of the Sultan’s Palace, it is steeped in history.

Taman Sari is also called Segaran – a Javanese word meaning artificial sea – and the place where the sultans went boating by passing under the suspension bridge called Kreteg Gantung which connects to the front of the palace. This water tunnel was also a means of escape should the palace be under threat of an enemy attack.

Wandering around this historical place is sheer pleasure and one gets the feeling of what it was actually like when first built. If Batik processing is your thing, then in the entrance grounds you will see some of the only locals allowed to live there displaying their techniques of painting the cloth using cap, a small curved bowl-pen.

The best time to visit of course is in the early morning before the midday sun becomes too fierce, and, before the bulk of tourist buses arrive.

President Barack Obama has delayed a planned visit to Indonesia as a beautiful country several days to focus on healthcare reform, the White House has said.

The White House had been pressing the House of Representatives to hold a key vote on Obama’s flagship healthcare reforms before his original departure date on March 18, but it became clear that that deadline was unrealistic.

The president had promised to the work the phones from overseas, but top Democratic aides in Congress said the leadership felt it needed Obama’s personal touch in Washington to have any realistic chance of pushing his signature domestic initiative across the finish line.

President Barack Obama’s trip next week to his childhood home of Indonesia will be no vacation and is unlikely to be delayed by his health reform drive, the White House said Thursday.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Obama, who is expected to leave the United States next Thursday, would attend a democracy promotion conference and highlight counter-terrorism measures during the visit to Indonesia.

Obama will also seek to use his stay in the world’s most populous Muslim nation to build off a speech he gave last year to the Islamic world from Cairo urging for improved ties with the United States, Gibbs said.

The trip now figures to be an even faster sprint through Indonesia and Australia than previously scheduled, though the White House says it must go on as both nations are vital to Obama’s bid to revive US Asia-Pacific policy.

Obama has billed himself as America’s first “Pacific president”, and his journey had been timed to coincide with the school spring break to allow the president to take his family.

The fact he must leave his daughters at home may take the gloss off the trip for Obama and disappoint his hosts.

“The United States has been absent from the Asia-Pacific region. We can’t lead in this region of the world without strong bilateral relationships with Indonesia and Australia,” Gibbs said.

The delay will also likely fan fresh doubts about the capacity of Democratic leaders in the House of Representatives to put together a majority of votes for the embattled effort to overhaul America’s mostly private healthcare system.

Obama has spent over a year trying to cajole Congress into passing the kind of sweeping healthcare reform that has eluded Democratic presidents for decades.

In recent days, he has escalated the fight, staking his own political credibility and authority on passing the bid to expand access to health care for millions of Americans and to cut costs and rein in insurance giants.

In a delicate piece of political choreography, Obama wants the House of Representatives to pass a Senate health care bill, then for both chambers to endorse a package of “fixes” to harmonise the final legislation.

Obama, who lived in Jakarta with his late mother Ann Dunham in the 1960s, said last year in Singapore that he was looking forward to visiting his old haunts in Indonesia.

He was invited to make the trip by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and both sides have said they plan to use Obama’s childhood ties to the country to further tighten a crucial pan-Pacific relationship.

Ok, Mr. President it is better you focus first with the problems in your country. for then you can go to the beautiful country Indonesia where you have to live and enjoy the natural atmosphere and soothing your soul at the same time building a positive relationship with our country to become more peaceful, balanced and mutual respect.

The Prambanan temple build in the ninth century Hindu temple compound in located approximately 18 km east of Yogyakarta city on the boundary between Yogyakarta and Central Java province, dedicated to Trimurti, the expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Sustainer (Vishnu) and the Destroyer (Shiva).

The Prambanan temple is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, currently is the largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, and is one of the largest Hindu temples in south-east Asia. It is characterised by its tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu temple architecture, and by the towering 47m high central building inside a large complex of individual temples and the area that now functions as beautiful park. There is a legend that Javanese people always tell about this temple. As the story tells, there was a man named Bandung Bondowoso who loved Roro Jonggrang. To refuse his love, Jonggrang asked Bondowoso to make her a temple with 1,000 statues only in one-night time. The request was nearly fulfilled when Jonggrang asked the villagers to pound rice and to set a fire in order to look like morning had broken. Feeling to be cheated, Bondowoso who only completed 999 statues cursed Jonggrang to be the thousandth statue.

In 1811, Collin Mackenzie, a surveyor in the service of Thomas Stamford Raffles during Britain’s short lived rule over the Dutch East Indies, came upon these temples by chance. Although Raffles subsequently commissioned a full survey of the ruins, they remained neglected for decades. Dutch residents carried off sculptures for garden ornaments while local villagers used foundation stones for construction material. Proper restoration began only in 1930 and continues today.

Traveling will be some of Obama’s activities to come home. When he was a child, he lived a few years in Indonesia, the most populous Muslim country. White House spokesman, Robert Gibbs, said that during the trip, Obama will be officially launched cooperation with Indonesia.

Known as the Republic of Indonesia, Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the World, which consists of 17,508 islands in the Malay Archipelago. It is the fourth most populous country in the world and the third largest country with democracy system in the World after India and the USA. Bordered by the two great oceans in the world, Indonesia’s land rises from the lowest point in some deepest oceans and soars to the peaks of Merapi mount as the most active volcanoes in Yogyakarta. We can enjoy the beautiful sunrise or sunset in Gunung Kidul area as in Drini beach, Baron Beach, Kukup Beach, and Krakal beach that have white sand. As beautiful as Bali Island which has white sand beaches and gorgeous waves as in Kuta, Seminyak, Uluwatu, Legian, or enjoying the beauty of Bromo Mountain where we can find Tengger tribe, the original descendant of Majapahit kingdom on 12-15th century. If it is still possible and has spare time, President Barack Obama will enjoy traditional batik making Wukirsari Imogiri Bantul as one of the world’s masterpiece, or he will enjoy how to make Keris as one of Indonesian heritage acknowledged by WHO. Besides, Barack Obama and his family will visit the most beautiful places in Jogjakarta as his mother, Ann Dunham, did when she finished her research in Jogjakarta. He will enjoy the view of Borobudur temple, Prambanan temple, and Ratu Boko temple to relax with his wife, his children, and the U.S. presidential staffs in Amanjiwo hotel or Losari Resort on the slopes of the Menoreh Mountain, Magelang.

Java is an Island known with its beauty since centuries ago, so, it is called the incredible java. If you read a book entitled The History of Java, written by Sir Stanford Raffles, it will explain about the life story, philosophy, governance, and culture of Java in the past including the Borobudur temple discovery which was written with captivating. The enormous first and second terraces were completed by a declining Hindu dynasty, construction was then halted for some years, and later, from 790 to 835 AD, the Buddhist Sailendra dynasty continued and finally completed the great stupa.

Located at 42 kms west of Yogyakarta, on the island of Java in Indonesia, The plan of Borobudur Stupa is a schematized representation of the cosmos, a mandala. After visiting its lower terraces decorated with bas-reliefs, pilgrims attain the shrine’s crowning stupa, which symbolizes the Absolute.

The walls and balustrades are decorated with fine low reliefs, covering a total surface area of 2,500 m2. Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. The monument was restored with UNESCO’s help in the 1970s.

As well as being the single most popular tourist attraction in modern day Indonesia, Borobudur has resumed its role as an important place of worship and pilgrimage for Indonesian Buddhists. Visitors should be understanding and respectful of this especially during major Buddhist holiday periods.
